inspiration for the day~ muffin style

Although she may be gone now "BIG Martha" ~ Martha Kostyra still inspires me!

I LOVE Martha Stewart and her daughter Alexis..... as well! Could you imagine a dinner party with the three of them~ I can't think of anything better! What strong, creative, intelligent, beautiful women!

I just want to roll my sleeves up and help! ~ Image from Martha's heartfelt tribute to her mother- brings tears to my eyes everything I read it!

MUFFINMAID

I am so please to share that last week the spice of my life ask me to be in her fairy tale wedding this fall. With tears in my eyes (OK fine, and running down my face) I gladly expected the honor or taking park in Nina and Mark's special day.

Soul mates, work bought us together for a reason! I don't know what I would do without my muffin!
Spice of my muffin LIFE!
Tea time, skype dates, bakery runs, late night phone calls, thank you notes, jcrew, Lilly planners, Emily Post, Martha's mother, road trips to Boone (and Charelston soon!), stamps, blogs- just a few small things that we enjoy the most out of life!

Cotton head ninny muffin
We thought for sure we would die in Bristol but it only made us STRONGER! I would walk though fire with this one!

THE MUFFIN WAY!

I have no doubt Mary and Theresa are smiling down laughing there heads off at us! :) And I wouldn't have it any other way!

Buttering me Up

This weekend was one of the BEST weekend I've had in a long time!

Friday Night I attended the Make A Wish Ball for the second year. The ball was handle at the Ritz Carlton- I was beautiful they did a great job with the event this year! Coach Gibbs was the speaker and did an amazing job- he makes me want to get out there and score a touch down, or win a NASCAR race. HAHAH now that's motivation my friends

After the ball I headed out with some dear friends to the new club in the queen city BUTTER. Yes that BUTTER. We had an amazing time! One of the best times in a long time!

Friday night there was a good crowd- not too crowded like Saturday tried to be pay to know the right people

me and my boys- man I love them

(please note how A is the only one not wear a jacket- after I steamed it for him making me run late the rest of the night! BOYS)

add Baby T to the mix and we're in business!

Saturday we did it all over again. This time heading out to the Bobcats game for NASCAR night. Blah whatever I just wanted to see one of my favorite Blue Devils of ALL TIME JJ Redick! Forget that the drunk redneck tarhole fans booing him and then threatening me! I had a great time- I've never been afraid and am I not about to start. After the game we meet up with some friends at the Epicenter before heading back to Butter. The rest is classified.
JJ now plays for the Orlando Magic and he did GREAT against the Bobcats- so shake it

Needless to say- we are all in much need of some rest!! Great weekend!

bliss

Somewhere in the middle of all the chaos, all the turmoil, all the ugly, I am blissfully happy for the first time in along time. I don't even know how to began to describe this!
"It's good to be just plain happy, its alittle better to know that your happy, but to understand that you're happy and to know why and how and still be happy, be happy in knowing, well that you are beyond happiness, that is bless." ~ Henry Miller

Biltmore

At the began of the year- we took a little day trip up to Asheville, NC to see the Christmas candle light decorations at the Baltimore. I usually go to Biltmore at least once a year- and I've been what feels like a million times but every time I enjoy myself. I was emotional this year thinking of the last time I was on the estate - I was with my dad the horrible day Kelly last her own father- I will forever think of her and her father when at Biltmore. No the less the house was breath taking at night with all the Christmas decoration! It truly was magical!

We started the trip off with a stop into downtown Asheville and the most wonderful little restaurant Mayfel's. This place was amazing! There were a TON of vegetarian options which I loved! I ended up getting the tomato bisque, homemade black bean burger and sweet potato fries! Truly amazing and great place to eat and get out of the cold.

Then when headed to the estate went straight to the winery- I swear Ali tried almost all of the wines (don't worry she made up for it by buying a ton of wine to take back! God love her!) Then we checked out the greenhouse- thank god it was warm- I swear I saw snow flakes!
Then Finally it was on to see the house. Now I've been to the Biltmore house at Christmas before but never at night- it was nothing short of amazing! I fall in love every time! You can't take pictures inside so this professional picture will just have to do!

We end the trip with an amazing dinner at the Stables. Three course mouth watering meal in the estates old stable. I was great! The alcohol and coffee managed to keep me warm! I highly recommend taking the time to shop for a meal here if you're ever in Asheville!

My visit got me super excited for the stack of books growing to read about Asheville's finest!
